Va- 1 Virtual Analog Synthesizer
Roland SH-201 Virtual Analog Synthesizer 400.00 U.S.Dollars. Except the name, SH-201 has nothing to do with the series of SH analog synthesizers made by Roland. This is quite simple and yet easy-to-use budget synthesizer with all the main functions of a virtual analog instrument - 10-voice polyphony, a wide choice. Ultra Analog VA-1's installation and setup process uses a standard challenge and response registration system. Once you start to use it, the user interface is immediately familiar if you've ever used a Virtual Analog synthesizer. Everything is on one panel, there's no complex routing, and everything has very clearly labeled knobs. - A digital synthesizer that mimics the circuitry found in an analog synthesizer. A Virtual Analog synth emulates analog characteristics by implementing mathematical models of analog circuitry. Analog modeling is a type of physical modeling, which imitates the electronic properties of circuit components rather than the mechanical or acoustical.
- “Analog, digital, virtual analog, software synths which one is the best option? Which ones sound the best? This is one of the most frequent questions I get from my listeners, students and even friends from the music industry.
- Snakebite is a hybrid digital analog polyphonic synthesizer which is designed to make sounds that aren't possible using traditional virtual analog (VA) synth design. Sound creation begins with the triple oscillator bank where each tone can be morphed in real time. The sound is then passed through bit-crush, a screaming 18dB filter and finally digital distortion to create sounds not heard from.
This method of synthesis is also referred to as Virtual Analog or VA. Analog modeling synthesizers can be more reliable than their true analog counterparts since the oscillator pitch is ultimately maintained by a digital clock, and the digital hardware is typically less susceptible to temperature changes.
The Gold Standard in GS Sound Modules
Based on the Roland SC-series hardware modules, the Sound Canvas VA is a GS-compatible software synth with support for VSTi (Windows and Mac) and AU (Mac) plug-in formats. Included are 1,600 popular sounds and 63 drum sets that are ready to play, and a single plug-in instance supports 16 parts with up to 64 notes of polyphony. Multiple instances can be used, with the only limit being your computer’s processing power. The plug-in also comes with SC-8820, SC-88 Pro, SC-88, and SC-55 sound maps, allowing you to replay files that were originally created with those Sound Canvas hardware modules.*
* The Sound Canvas VA is not designed to play Standard MIDI Files (SMF). Depending on the data in your music files and how it’s processed with the host application, the mix balance, tone, and timing may vary slightly from the sound of the original hardware.
Tone Editor for Customizing Sounds
Included with the Sound Canvas VA is a powerful Tone Editor for adjusting sounds in fine detail. The graphical interface makes it simple to create original tones using filters, envelopes, and numerous GS sound parameters. You can also store the sounds you create and quickly load favorites from your custom library when you begin a new project.
Keyscape cannot load soundsource. Another thing is, when I try opening the iso discs, it asks me to insert an empty disc and i dont have one at the moment. I have tried deleting the zmap.index and running the data installer with the discs but still no sound coming off of omni. I have the omni.dll on Drive C otherwise i can´t pull it up on FL and i have the rest of the files like the STEAM folders ad the 8 ISO discs on Drive D because before i downloaded omni i only had 30 gb on drive c which isnt enough since the discs themselves are 6-7 gb (around 56 gb put together). What do I do?
A Wide Selection of Built-In Effects
To enhance your sounds, the Sound Canvas VA comes with 64 types of insert effects, plus global reverb, chorus, delay, and EQ. With the Effect Editor, you can easily adjust them all via an intuitive interface. Many effects parameters support automation through your DAW, and it’s possible to save and recall effects settings in your projects. Each plug-in supports one insert effect , and you can open multiple plug-in instances to use additional insert effects on different tracks as needed.
Reminders
Depending on your host application, system exclusive messages contained in MIDI tracks might not be supported with VSTi or AU plug-ins.
The Sound Canvas VA plug-in must initialize its parameters and read various settings when it loads, and this may take about 15 seconds for each plug-in instance. For example, if you’re using four Sound Canvas VA plug-in instances in a project, it may take approximately one minute to load all the plug-ins when you open the file (four plug-ins at 15 seconds each). The actual times may vary depending on your computer’s performance and setup.
No plugin bridge will enable to run 32bit SOUND Canvas VA on 64bit OS/DAW environment.

An analog modeling synthesizer is a synthesizer that generates the sounds of traditional analog synthesizers using DSP components and software algorithms. Analog modeling synthesizers simulate the behavior of the original electric and electronic circuitry in order to digitally replicate their tone.
This method of synthesis is also referred to as Virtual Analog or VA. Analog modeling synthesizers can be more reliable than their true analog counterparts since the oscillator pitch is ultimately maintained by a digital clock, and the digital hardware is typically less susceptible to temperature changes.
While analog synthesizers need an oscillator circuit for each voice of polyphony, analog modeling synthesizers don't face this problem. This means that many of them, especially the more modern models, can produce as many polyphonic voices as the CPU on which they run can handle.
Modeling synths also provide patch storage capabilities and MIDI support not found on most true analog instruments. Analog modeling synthesizers that run entirely within a host computer operating system are typically referred to as analog software synthesizers.
The term was not used until the 1990s when the Nord Lead came out.[1]
